SUNNY SIDE UP PSYCHOTHERAPY
Sunny Side Up Psychotherapy provides in-person therapy in Orillia, Ontario, and virtual psychotherapy throughout Ontario for teens and adults navigating BPD, relationship challenges, overwhelming or hard-to-manage emotions, and life transitions.
Using a DBT-informed and integrative approach, I support clients in building practical coping skills, deepening self-understanding, and finding ways to make life feel more meaningful and more manageable. This is a supportive space that meets you where you are, where you’re encouraged to show up as you are and take things at your own pace.

ABOUT NATALIE
Hi, I’m Natalie, your friendly neighbourhood Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)!
I came to therapy with a genuine curiosity about people, their stories, and the ways we make meaning of our lives. I see therapy as a space where the thoughts you carry don’t have to feel so heavy on your own. Here, you can lay them down, look at them from new angles, and maybe even find a little lightness along the way. I listen closely, gently challenge when it’s helpful, and walk beside you as you navigate your story.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over seven years working in healthcare, which gave me a deep respect for people’s resilience and complexity. That curiosity about how we grow, heal, and connect is what led me here, and to starting Sunny Side Up.
Outside of therapy, you can find me getting lost in a record shop, trying out a new craft or recipe, or enjoying a good show. I love music, connecting with people, and feeling creative (even as a non-artistic girly). I’m drawn to the spirit of girlhood, I am a lover of humour, and I appreciate slowness in a world that often feels like a time thief.

Finding skills that work for you

Explore your story

Working towards change
Together, we’ll explore strategies that actually feel useful in your life. Drawing from DBT and mindfulness-based approaches, we’ll focus on skills like distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and radical acceptance. These tools can help you respond more intentionally, stay grounded, and move through challenges with greater self-awareness.
Together, we’ll explore where your patterns come from and how they’ve shaped your sense of self. Using an IFS and attachment-based lens, you’ll begin to reconnect with the parts of you that have been misunderstood, ignored, or overwhelmed. This process nurtures self-compassion and helps rebuild a more confident, grounded sense of self.
Therapy can be both supportive and challenging, it’s not always a comfy space and that’s okay. Growth often starts with small, sometimes awkward steps as we figure out what’s working for you and what’s not. Through curiosity and care, we’ll start to unravel distorted thoughts, spot patterns, and reflect on how your thoughts, behaviours, and choices line up with your values- not the ones passed down by parents, partners, or society.
